The objective of this course is to provide learners on the supervising and implementation of safe work practices and maintain workplace risk control measures at the workplace.

  • At the end of this course, you will be able to:
     Understand and identify the importance of Workplace Safety and Health
  • Successfully implement risk control measurement and risk assessment in the workplace
  • Supervise and ensure practices of safe work procedure carried out in the workplace
  • Conduct Incident Investigation and reporting according to organisation procedures
Learners are assumed to have:
  • Employability Skills (ES) Workplace Literacy level 1 and above.
  • Be able to manipulate numbers at a proficiency level equivalent to ES Workplace Numeracy level 1 and above.
  • Minimum of three months of work experience in the environmental services industry or with the interest to be employed in the industry.
  1. 7 hours of classroom and practical training.
  2. 2 hours of assessment including written, oral, and practical assessment.

  1. Importance of Workplace Safety and Health (WSH)
  2. Salient WSH legal and other requirements relevant to environmental services industry
  3. Overview of WSH management system
  4. WSH duties and responsibilities of supervisor in the environmental services industry
  5. Risk management process
  6. Typical hazards in environmental services industry
  7. Methods for hazard identification
  8. WSH risk control measures
  9. Incident Investigation and reporting
  • Supervisor to oversee or supervise any work or process carried out in the workplace safely and without any risk to health.
  • Supervisor who needs to identify his responsibilities under the WSH Act in Environmental Cleaning Sector.
  • Supervisor who wishes to acquire WSH skill sets such as hazard identification and adhering to organisation risk control procedures in the orgainisation.
